AMPO International is happy and proud to be the latest member to join Action against AIDS Germany (Aktionsbündnis gegen AIDS). Belonging to this powerful network of dedicated organisations marks an important milestone for AMPO in the joint commitment to global health, solidarity and the improvement of living conditions for disadvantaged people.

AMPO has been fighting for many years for vulnerable groups within the community, in particular for children, young people and women in Burkina Faso in need of support in the face of social, economic or health challenges. Joining this action group enables AMPO to act more effectively together with other stakeholders to create political awareness for the needs of people with HIV and AIDS.

“For us being part of Action against AIDS is not only a form of recognition of the work we have been doing in Burkina Faso, it also sends out a strong message of solidarity.” says AMPO. “Together we can achieve more in terms of counselling and prevention, ensuring that people with HIV and AIDS all over the world are not forgotten.”

As a new member AMPO will actively participate in future in the working groups, activities and the process of political dialogue within the Action group. This also involves exchanges with partner organisations in the global south striving to promote health care access, human rights and social justice.

AMPO looks forward to close cooperation with Action against AIDS Germany in sending a clear signal of hope and solidarity for a world with more justice in which no one is marginalised because of disease.
